Call for Entries: Mountain West State Park Photo Contest; Workshop

Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013

Utah State University students, staff and faculty are asked to take out a camera and see if they “have what it takes to be the park’s best photographer” for the Wasatch Mountain State Park Photo Contest.

The contest is open Feb. 15-April 15 and includes the categories of scenery, plants and animals and recreation. For more information on the contest, contact Josh Nelson at (435) 654-1791 or email WasatchIntern@gmail.com. Contest winners will receive prizes and their winning photos will be on display at the Visitor Center.

In conjunction with the contest, Wasatch Mountain State Park sponsors a photography workshop Friday, March 8, at 5:30 p.m. The workshop features professional photographer Mike Flaherty. Those interested in the workshop should bring a camera with a fully charged memory card and dress for the weather — portions of the workshop are outdoors. For information or to register, call (435) 654-1791 or email WasatchIntern@gmail.com.
