More Than 7,400 Degrees to Be Awarded at 2024 Utah State University Commencement

LOGAN, Utah — Utah State University is preparing to confer a total of 7,471 degrees to 6,897 students during the 137th commencement ceremony this week.

The university commencement ceremony in Logan will begin at 9 a.m. May 2 in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. College convocations and hooding ceremonies will begin the afternoon of May 2 and run through May 3. Tickets for the Logan campus commencement and convocation events are not required and will not be issued.

A schedule of events is available on the USU commencement website. Ceremonies will be broadcast live on AggieCast, and photos will be uploaded throughout the day.

Gail Miller, renowned philanthropist and owner of the Larry H. Miller Company, will serve as this year’s commencement speaker. Miller will receive an honorary degree during the ceremony, along with

  • Darren B. Parry, author and former chairman of the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation.
  • Bruce Carlson, retired general in the U.S. Air Force and chair of the Space Dynamics Lab Board of Directors.
