Annual Security Report
USU distributes an annual security and fire safety report to all employees and students by October 1 of each year. The annual security report includes campus crime and fire statistics for the previous three years, information about how to report crimes and seek help, and details about how USU is preventing sexual violence and improving campus safety. All USU statewide campuses are included in the report available for download below.

Sustainability
Utah State University has been a leader in sustainability since 1991 when then-President Cazier signed the Talloires Declaration. This early commitment set the stage in 2007 for then-President Albrecht’s commitment for the university to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
USU is a leading eco-friendly institution:
- USU received a Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS) Silver rating in 2013 and renewed it in 2016.
- Princeton Review’s Guide to Green Colleges has recognized USU since 2011.
- Nearly 300 Aggie Blue Bikes and free toolboards contribute Bicycle Friendly University Silver status.
- Natural gas Aggie Shuttles offer over a million rides per year.
- Tree Campus USA has recognized Utah State University since 2011.
- Energy consumption has decreased 18 percent per ft2 of floor area since 2007.
- All new buildings are Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) certified, including two platinum-rated buildings, Wetland Discovery Point and Swaner EcoCenter.
- Over 40 Blue Goes Green Grants for student ideas since 2011 have avoided the emission of over 100 tonnes CO2.
