Snow Safety Clinic

Learn about staying safe while exploring the backcountry this winter. We’re offering a free introductory course to help you make smart decisions outdoors. The clinic is on Wednesday, Nov. 28, in the ORP shop from 7 to 9 p.m. The clinic will introduce and explain to students where and why avalanches occur, describe who gets caught and why, and provide a basic approach to staying safe in the backcountry.This course targets the young and unaware backcountry traveller, and introduces the recognition of avalanche danger and how to reduce the risk.
