Legacy of Val Day of Service: Planting Day at Wuda Ogwa

Special Event

Join us as we honor the legacy of Val R Christensen and support the Northwestern Band of Shoshone (NWB) in their efforts to restore the ecosystem at Wuda Ogwa (located outside of Preston, ID). We will be planting native plants throughout the property formerly known as the Bear River Massacre Site.

Let us know in the registration form if you'd like a spot in our minibus (only 14 spots available). Lunch will be provided by the NWB. We have some work gloves to lend out. Feel free to bring a digging tool (such as a shovel or a hand auger) if you have them.

After you register, we will send you one more form to fill out that gives information to the NWB.

American Red Cross Blood Drive

Special Event

The need for blood is constant, but only about 3% of age-eligible people donate blood yearly! Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. Legacy of Val Day of Service: Loaves & Fishes Community Meal

Special Event

Honor the legacy of Val Christensen by pitching in at the Loaves & Fishes Community Meal! Volunteers will be prepping and serving food, bussing tables, washing dishes, and helping set up and take down. Most volunteers are needed on Saturday, but there are a few slots to fill on Friday night for prep. Click the Register button to be taken to the sign up form. Loaves & Fishes is non-denominational, but takes place inside First Presbyterian Church in Logan because there is a commercial kitchen there. Volunteers are enthusiastically encouraged to grab a plate and sit next to community members that they might not ever meet outside of this free meal. Register through AggiePulse, link provided.
