9th Annual Jazz Night at the Sky Club
The Skyroom Restaurant will be transformed into a 1930s jazz nightclub for the 9th Annual Jazz Night at the Sky Club. The evening starts with an elegant reception with silent auction, butler passed hors d'oeuvers and specialty drinks with lounge singer, followed by gourmet dinner, including fresh salad, choice of entrée and a delectable dessert. Live Big Band music performed by USU Jazz Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble and jazz vocalists, along with performances by professor emeritus Larry Smith, will rock the Sky Club to the unforgettable Jazz tunes of Glenn Miller, Bobby Darin, Ella Fitzgerald and more. The dance floor will become a hot spot for the Lindy Hop, Jitterbug and more. Free swing dance lessons will be offered one hour before the event in the TSC International Lounge provided by the USU Big Band Swing Club. Jazz Night benefits the USU Larry Smith Jazz Scholarship and is presented by USU Music Department, University Inn & Conference Center and USU Catering.
