'Protecting Today' Documentary to be Shown

Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012

The Utah State University Japan Club presents a screening of the documentary “Protecting Today” Thursday, Nov. 15. The free screening begins at 7 p.m. in the Biology and Natural Resources auditorium, Room 102.

The documentary was filmed by Yuka Kanno, whose hometown was swept away, along with the townspeoples’ livelihoods during 2012’s epic natural disaster. Months later, she went back to speak to her friends and family about their experiences in the post-disaster life.

“Bring your friends and your family and take a moment to remember the things and people you appreciate most, and to never take them for granted,” a USU Japan Club representative said.
