Robins Awards
The Robins Awards are the most coveted of all Utah State honors. They reward students and faculty for hard work and dedication to their individual goals, as well as the goals of USU. Click here to read more about the history of the Robins Awards.

Val R. Christensen Service Award
This award, in honor of Val R. Christensen's outstanding lifetime contribution to volunteerism, is
presented to a student/organization whose volunteer service has had a significant impact on USU
and the community. The student/organization should show commitment to volunteerism as Val R.
Christensen.
-Criteria: Campus Service, Community Service, Impact of student service at USU, Impact of student
community service
Achievement of the Year
This award goes to the achievement that has brought recognition to the University on a state,
national, or international level during the past year.
-Criteria: Campus Involvement, Significant Achievement Services, Bringing recognition to the
University, previous winners are not eligible to win until 3 years have
Organization of the Year
To the individual campus student organization, which demonstrates excellence in the achievement
of the organization's stated purpose and whose service to Utah State University marks it as the
Organization of the Year. The Organization of the Year must be an ASUSU recognized student
organization with at least three quarters of its membership being students. The Organization will be
judged on its achievements during the previous year.
-Criteria: Involvement of members, Achieved organization's goals, Meaningful projects/activities
for campus and community, Added to overall spirit and tradition of USU, previous winners are not
eligible to win until 3 years have passed
Woman of the Year
This recognition is awarded to that Utah State University female student who has made broad significant achievements and contributions to the university during the previous year and exemplified those traits which set her above other classmates.
Man of the Year
This recognition is awarded to that Utah State University male student who has made a broad significant achievements and contributions to the University during the previous year and exemplified those traits which set him above other classmates
Bill E. Robins Memorial Award
The Bill Robins Memorial Award is presented to the student who represents the best youth has
to offer. The student should excel academically as well as display outstanding leadership ability.
The person should show dedication to Utah State University and possess traits that set her or
him apart as a rare individual. This award unlike other Robins Awards is based on total college
career achievements, not achievements for just the previous year. It is equivalent to a "lifetime"
achievement award.
-Criteria: MUST be a graduating senior, Attended USU for 2 years as full-time student,
