* There are two available views of employee data: "As Reported" and "Normalized".
"As Reported" data exactly matches the information reported to the Utah State Board of Regents after the Day 15 student census each semester.
"Normalized" data accounts for the fact that departments and colleges change over time. For example, the Caine College of Arts has only existed since 2010. In the normalized view, all student majors currently located in a department and college are treated as if they had always been part of that department and college. This enables us to compare changes in student enrollment over time without regard to structural changes that would effect those numbers (eg. a department moving from one college to another).
