That Matters

Founded in Research

We strive to impact our community, the nation, and the world. Utah State gives students a unique opportunity to research in almost every degree. You won’t be limited to just a classroom. From artistic expression to scientific exploration, from farmland to space, Aggies go wherever the research takes them.

AGGIES

Timeless Traditions

We stay true to our roots and rich tradition. Thousands of Aggies have passed through USU, keeping old traditions alive and starting new ones along the way.

Light the "A" Blue

The "A" on Old Main tower lights blue after Aggie victories, on True Aggie Nights, and to welcome new students.

Homecoming Week

Kick off a week full of events and celebration by painting the streets with USU's 100+ student clubs.

Old Main Hill

Take a break between classes and grab your gear to sled, ski, snowboard, or ice block down Old Main Hill.

Aggie Ice Cream

Aggie Ice Cream's 26 flavors have enriched diets since 1921. It's Utah's #1 ice cream (Best of State, 2023).

True Aggie Night

Since 1916 students have become True Aggies by kissing on the "A" on True Aggie nights, Homecoming or A-Day.

The Scotsman

Nothing raises school spirit like our song "The Scotsman." Written by an Aggie in 1918.

Best in the Mountain West

We dominate the court, field, and pitch. USU is part of one the nation's most competitive conferences.

Big Blue

The all-sport MVP and mascot. Our dare-devil, energizer bull keeps the crowd roaring.

Our teams and players love us, opposing teams fear us. The HURD - our student section always has a good time.
