| USU Celebrates 129th birthday, March 8 |

Utah State University turned 129 years old on March 8. During the annual Founders Day event, we honored:
- Margaret Forsgren Anderson, Distinguished Alumna
- Barry Kellogg Moore, Distinguished Alumnus
- Allan J. Steed, Distinguished Alumnus
- Gregory A. and JaLynn Prince, Distinguished Service

| Love Utah Give Utah |

On March 30, join others in (and outside) of Utah by supporting one of several groups at Utah State University that are part of Love UT Give UT, a 24-hour day of giving. Since 2013, this annual event has led to donations of more than $4.2 million raised for nonprofits and schools throughout the state. This year’s USU groups are: Aggie Blue Bikes, Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art, Aggies Elevated/Troy’s Climb Up Mt. Kilimanjaro, Utah Public Radio, and the Utah State University Foundation. |

Organizations with the highest number of donors by the end of the giving day are eligible for cash prizes; all who donate between March 1 and 30th will be entered to win a three-year lease to a brand new 2017 Subaru Impreza courtesy of Mark Miller Subaru. |

| Young Alumni is Title Sponsor at USU Alumni Golf Tournament this August 28 |

| Golf season is finally here! Again, this year the Young Automotive Group is our title sponsor for the annual USU Alumni Golf Tournament. This premier event is hosted by the Ogden Golf and Country Club and will be held on Monday, August 28. Registration opens in April.

| USU Eastern student wins top national award; moves on to compete in Dubai |
|
Chandler Vincent, a future USU Eastern alumnus, was named the second-best welder in 2009 as was Jeremiah Garcia, who was named second-best welder in 2007. No one had ever been named No. 1 from Eastern until Vincent, a freshman, claimed the prize and will represent the United States in the WorldSkills championships held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in October 2017.
