Front & Center Webinar "Appreciative Education at Utah State University"

University Advising and Blanding’s NASNTI program partnered to write a grant for Appreciative Education training for student-facing personnel at USU. Over 40 USU personnel participated in the Appreciative Advising Institute through the grant in 2023. Panelists will share why they incorporate the Appreciative Education framework in their programs and their experiences utilizing the framework.

Trans Allies on Campus Training

Workshop/Training

Trans/Nonbinary Allies on Campus aims to increase awareness and understanding of our trans/nonbinary community and further understand specific trans/nonbinary issues while training participants to stand with, and advocate for trans/nonbinary individuals. Participants will gain a basic understanding of sex, sexuality, and gender and how these concepts perpetuate microaggressions, discrimination policies, and daily biases. Prepare to dispel some common myths, laugh, and leave with the understanding that there is much work to be done in our community and you are part of the solution. Lunch & Learn - How to Budget as a Family

USU Be Well and Extension's Empowering Financial Wellness Program present a lunch and learn on budgeting as a family. Oftentimes, money is considered a taboo topic or hard to talk about subject, especially with children. We want to teach them about the value of saving, practicing good financial habits and involve them in the family budget, especially if you grew up in a household where money matters weren't discussed. Join us for some tips and tools to help you get the whole family involved in the money conversation, even the kids. And you don’t have to be a finance expert to be successful with these tips and tools!! Join us to learn about setting money goals as a family, ways kids can learn about money at different ages and stages of their education and tips to get kids motivated to learn about money and budgeting.

*Presentation will be recorded. Attendance and participation in this event qualify as an activity for the Be Well Rewards program.
