The function of CSAA is to integrate individual research laboratories to provide a broader capability for surface characterization and novel materials fabrication to serve a wider community.

In particular, CSAA will

• Establish a device fabrication laboratory to apply today’s sciences to tomorrow’s technologies.
• Promote academic and industrial collaboration and partnerships.
• Support education and outreach activities.
