About This Degree

The Administrative/Supervisory Concentration is designed for school personnel who already hold a Master’s Degree in an education discipline.

It prepares potential school leaders for Utah’s Schools by providing training based on the Utah Education Leadership (UEL) standards of the Utah State Board of Education (USBE), and the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium (ISLLC).The Program combines coursework in leadership and management with specific training in curriculum and instruction to meet the demands placed on today’s education leaders.

What You Will Learn

The program includes a focus on assessment at both the school and classroom levels and the effective use of data to drive decisions in schools. The program requires internship experiences based on current USBE policies and includes clinical experiences to connect the learning activities in coursework with the day-to-day needs of modern school settings.

Admission Requirements

Admission to the licensure only program requires students be a licensed level II teacher and hold a Master's degree in an education or closely related field. Applicants with Master's degrees in other areas may be required to take additional courses.
