Description:


  • The Utah State University General Catalog includes both undergraduate and graduate information.

  • The catalog is in Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF), which is viewable with the Acrobat Reader.

  • The catalog includes a separate PDF file for each of the introductory, college, and departmental sections. Each of these files can be accessed individually.

  • For the course descriptions sections, a separate PDF file can be viewed for each course prefix listing.

  • The online catalog files will be updated periodically as changes are made. An original digital copy of the print version will always be available. To view the print version, click here.





USU 2009 Campus Map and Legend

     Campus Map

The 2009 Campus Map includes a color map on page 1, and a map legend on page 2. A new layers feature is now included, allowing users to view or hide the various layers of the map (by clicking on the icon to the left of each layer). The map legend includes the building abbreviations and coordinates shown on the campus map. To view or print the map and legend, click on the map image shown at the left.

Navigation of the Catalog:


  • After selecting a catalog section from the list provided, the catalog file can be navigated in Acrobat Reader:

  • Using the scroll bar on the right, which will display the pages as you scroll with the mouse;

  • Entering a new page number from the selected section in the box displayed above each page, or clicking on the "Previous Page" or "Next Page" arrows at the top of each page.

  • You can search the selected section by entering any string of text in the “find” box. For example, you could search for “GPA” and find the first instance of GPA as it appears in the section. To search again, click on the “find next” button to go to the next instance of GPA.

  • To view course descriptions, first go to the Course Descriptions Home Page, which includes instructions for accessing course information. There is a separate PDF file for each course prefix.

  • To view another selection, click on the "Back" arrow to return to the list of sections, then click on the desired section.

Linking to Web Pages and Other Catalog Sections:


  • To go directly to any web page identified within catalog text, move the cursor to the web address (all addresses begin with http://). Left click when the cursor changes to a hand.

  • Course description sections which are related to departmental descriptive text can be accessed from within departmental sections. Also, while you are viewing course descriptions, you may link to descriptive text for the department offering those courses. These links, identified with the underlined text “click here,” are accessed the same way as described in the paragraph above.
