Bio
Susie is originally from Oregon and grew up in Central Utah. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education (1999) and a Master of Science in Instructional Technology (2005) from USU. Susie has worked for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences for thirteen years and began advising (officially) in 2006. Susie was nominated by students and was selected as a finalist for the 2009 and 2010 USU Robins Award for Outstanding Professional Academic Advisor and won the award in 2010. She also received a Certificate of Merit for Oustanding Academic Advising from NACADA (National Academic Advising Association) in 2010.
Susie advises students majoring in American Studies, Liberal Arts, and English (Literary Studies, Creative Writing, and Professional/Technical Writing emphases) on all requirements for graduation, including general education, major requirements, and university requirements.
