On-Campus Jobs
On-campus jobs include any job that is part-time or temporary (less than four months) that is paid through university funding. Anyone is eligible to apply for these jobs.
To apply for On-Campus Jobs:
1. Get the job number off of the on-campus job board, from an employer, or from the Website (www.usu.edu/studemp). (An On-campus job number has the following format: C000-00.)
2. Take the job number to the Student Employment Desk, (located in the Financial Aid Office, Taggart Student Center, Room 106) and fill out the necessary paperwork or print your own referral on-line.
3. The referral will give you the information on how to apply for the job. Take the referral paper with you to meet the employer.
4. The employer will contact you if you are hired.
To post an On-Campus Job:
1. Pick up a Requisition Form from the Student Employment Office, TSC 106, or on this website go oncampus/post job on-line or post job off-line. Fill the form out, and fax, mail or drop by the Student Employment Office.
2. When The Student Employment Office has your completed on-line form, you will be given a job number in the following format: C000-00. If the job is received by 5 pm, it will be posted the next working day at 8 am.
3. Keep a record of the job number. You can call The Student Employment Office and make any changes necessary to the job. It can be reposted at any time.
4. You must take a minimum of 3 referrals, or post the job for 24 hours, whichever comes first.
5. Contact the person that you hired and with them complete the following paperwork: I9, W-4, and the Payroll Direct Deposit Form is optional. All of these forms are available on-line under printable forms or in the Student Employment Office.
6. These forms and the referral must be turned into the Student Employment Office within three days after the hire date.
