USU Athletics to Hold Aggie Remembrance Ceremony Prior to Homecoming Game

Utah State Athletics will hold the Aggie Remembrance Ceremony Saturday, Oct. 14, prior to the Aggies’ Homecoming football game against Wyoming.

The ceremony, which will begin at 1 p.m. at the Merlin Olsen Statue on the southeast concourse of Maverik Stadium, will consist of a brief statement of purpose, a short prayer by team chaplain Tojo Fairman and conclude with the Aggie Roll Call. The roll call is when someone in the audience calls out the name of an Aggie who has passed on. The short program will last roughly 15 minutes.

The Aggie Remembrance Ceremony was first held in 2011 and has continued to gain popularity ever since. A year ago, there were more than 600 people in attendance.

Utah State (3-3, 1-1 MW) and Wyoming (3-2, 1-0 MW) are slated to kick off at 2:30 p.m. on Merlin Olsen Field at Maverik Stadium. The game can be seen live on Facebook.
