Get Your Thrills at the USU Caine Lyric Theatre

Lacy J. Dunn plays Susan Hendrix in the spine-tingling thriller "Wait Until Dark."

Broadway’s biggest hit the year the Lyric Repertory Company was founded, Wait Until Dark, premieres at the Utah State University Caine Lyric Theatre Friday, June 30, at 7:30 p.m. Written by Frederick Knott and adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher, this spine-tingling, blood-curdling thriller has kept audiences gasping for more than 50 years.

A sinister con man meets his match when Susan, a blind woman, won’t believe her husband is implicated in a woman’s murder. With the help of a neighbor, Susan learns that she is the victim of a bizarre charade and forces her antagonists to play by her rules.

Directed by head of the Department of Theatre Arts at USU, Adrianne Moore, the Wait Until Dark cast includes: Lacy J. Dunn (Susan Hendrix); Chris Klinger (Mike Talman); Wyn Moreno (Sergeant Carlino); Dani Rae Nielsen (Gloria); Lance Rasmussen (Harry Roat Jr.) and Mitch Shira (Sam Hendrix).

Opening June 30, Wait Until Dark runs on selected dates through August 5. The show plays this Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and a Saturday matinee at 1 p.m. Also part of the Lyric Rep 2017 season, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [Revised], Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and The Foreigner.
