USU Mask Requirements Continue Through Spring

Utah State University will continue to require masks at all campuses and centers for the remainder of spring semester, even if Utah’s statewide mask mandate ends April 10.

“We have reduced virus spread across the university system thanks in part to everyone’s commitment to masking up, and we will finish spring semester strong and healthy by staying the course,” USU President Noelle Cockett said in emails to students and employees on March 26.

Businesses and individual institutions such as universities can continue requiring masks if they choose. At USU, masks are required inside all university buildings, as well as in shared vehicles such as campus shuttles.

The university also strongly recommends students and employees be vaccinated against COVID-19 and is holding its first on-campus vaccination clinic in Logan on April 9. The clinic, held in partnership with Bear River Health District, will provide about 1,000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Appointments filled within three hours of opening clinic registration.
