Val R. & Ruth Ann Christensen
Scholarship Endowment

Dr. Val Christensen is one of the most well-respected and loved names at Utah State University.  His influence can be felt in thousands of Aggies as he worked at Utah State University from 1967 to 1996 when he retired as Vice President of Student Services.  In addition to service as vice president, he served in the capacity of Direct of High School Relations, Assistant Dean of Students, director of the Student Center, and Coordinator of Student Activities.  He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Utah State University and his doctorate degree from Michigan State.   

Through the years, Dr. Christensen has contributed thousands of hours in leadership workshops, training students in basic skills to allow for more effective involvement in University government and student activities.  The Christensen’s legacy continues today through memories, lessons taught, examples offered, and also through this scholarship.
