The AC Women's Scholarship was established by a prestigious group of community and retired academic women who have a strong desire to support women students. This scholarship is awarded to re-entry senior women in dire need of financial assistance.
The Alpha Chi Omega Scholarship was established by the Alpha Chi Omega sorority and is awarded to a survivor of domestic violence.
The Wayne and Ione Spencer Bennion Endowed Scholarship, which was the first endowment established at the Women's Center in 1979, assists undergraduate reentry women (especially single parent women) who desire to attend Utah State University.
Income from the T.Y. & Nan C. Booth Women's Center Endowment shall provide support for urgent-need assistance to clients of the Center for Women and Gender.
The Box Family Opportunity Award is given to undergraduate or graduate students. Preference is given to those who are (or who have been) in an abusive environment, who have a desire to break the cycle of violence, or who have been volunteers at CAPSA (or a similar organization). Awards will be based on financial need, stated educational goals and potential of the applicant. While past GPA should be considered, it should not be the primary deciding factor. Recipients should maintain a 2.5 GPA.
Candidates for the William F. and Phyllis M. Campbell Endowed Scholarship must be undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior reentry single parents with a declared major. Students must have a 3.0 minimum GPA, must demonstrate academic achievement, and must be enrolled for at least 6 credits.
Candidates for the Leah Dunford Parkinson Christensen Endowed Scholarship must be returning women or men students with at least a three year or more gap in their education and must be enrolled at Utah State University. Awards will be based on financial need, personal motivation to succeed in school and clearly stated educational goals.
The Carol Wennergren Clay Endowed Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate reentry women, undergraduate senior women, or graduate reentry women who need financial assistance.
First consideration for the Lucile Ballif Croft Scholarship is given to re-entry single parent women with children and then second consideration given to re-entry men or re-entry women students. Re-entry refers to those students who have had a gap in their education as defined by the USU Women's Center. Recipients may be either undergraduate or graduate re-entry students at Utah State University who are residents of Utah. Awards will be based on financial need, stated educational goals and evaluation of the benefits to be gained by the applicants.
Consideration for the Theodore W. Daniel Scholarship in the USU Center for Women and Gender is given to black women from the continent of Africa who are undergraduates or graduates, and who have either reentry or traditional status.
The Director's Scholarship was established by the current director of the Center for Women and Gender. This scholarship is awarded to junior or senior women majoring in Natural Resources or Pre-Med.
The Dupont Endowed Scholarship was established by professors R. Ryan Dupont and Sonia Manuel-Dupont for A. Academic excellence (3.5 and above) and B. A declared major in Engineering. First choice is an engineering major who meets A and B and is a woman in Environmental Engineering. Second choice is an engineering major who meets A and B and is a woman in Civil Engineering. Third choice is an engineering major who meets A and B and is a minority male in Environmental Engineering. Fourth choice is an engineering major who meets A and B and is a minority male in Civil Engineering.
The Flynn Endowed Scholarship was established by Mary Flynn Palley in memory of her parents, aunts, and uncles. This scholarship is awarded to undergraduate reentry female students. Consideration is given to married families, single-parent families, and/or first generation reentry female students.
The Blue Sky Endowed Scholarship was established in memory of Susan Grey and is awarded to undergraduate junior, senior, or graduate women majoring or minoring in the visual arts, and having an emphasis in painting, ceramics, photography, or two-dimensional art. Students must be enrolled for at least 6 credits and must demonstrate academic achievement.
The Jack and Sally Keller Endowed Scholarship is awarded to reentry women students with financial need, especially single women who are heads of their households and who have minor dependents.
David Rich Lewis and Kim Corbin-Lewis hereby establish this scholarship endowment fund to assist future generations of students in the Center for Women and Gender at Utah State University. This endowment scholarship is to honor Dr. Lewis’ grandmother, Vera Carter Lewis. Student recipients of the Vera Carter Lewis Scholarship should demonstrate academic achievement and financial need.
The Debra Loveless Meier Endowed Scholarship was established in memory of Debra Loveless Meier, daughter of Geniel and Austin Loveless. Consideration is given to undergraduate or graduate reentry women majoring in fields related to education.
The Stephanie Osborne Scholarship was established in her memory by her parents and her sister. This scholarship is awarded to undergraduate traditional senior women who are interested in the helping professions and involved in community social issues and travel abroad. Consideration is given to single women who are U.S. citizens and who have no children.
The Marilyn Painter Scholarship was established by Loye Painter in memory of her sister, Marilyn Painter, to assist undergraduate reentry women students and senior women students.
The Palley/Johnson Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate reentry students. Consideration is given to young married families and/or single parent families, first-generation reentry students, and those whose family members are not college graduates.
The Promote Educational Opportunities (PEO) Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate or graduate reentry women who have declared a major or stated a specific focus.
The Blanche Browning Rich Scholarship was established by David Rich Lewis and Kim Corbin-Lewis in honor of David's grandmother, Blanche Browning Rich, to assist reentry students and/or women students having demonstrated academic achievement and financial need.
The St. John's Episcopal Church Endowed Scholarship is awarded to reentry, senior, and graduate women.
The Evan and Jean Stevenson Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate or graduate reentry students who are single mothers. Awards may also be given for emergency student-related needs.
The Alison Comish Thorne Expendable Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate juniors or seniors who have successfully completed the Introduction to Women and Gender Studies course (WGS 1010) and are declared Women and Gender Studies students working toward a certificate or minor in the program. Recipients shall have a 3.0 or higher cumulative USU GPA.
Scholarships shall be awarded to undergraduate reentry students. Students must have a 3.5 minimum GPA and must be natural-born American citizens. Students may receive a Walther scholarship award only once. Consideration will be given to a Walther family member.
