I believe that music is for everyone. Regardless of ability or personality, music enriches lives and nurtures the intellect unlike anything else. Achievement in piano gives a student a sense of fulfillment, confidence, and satisfaction through working and succeeding. My primary goal as a teacher is to catalyze that discovery. This will be done through a well-balanced variety of music, ample theory knowledge, and consistent sight-reading. As a long-term student myself, I know how to turn these "chores" into a lot of fun! I put forth a great deal of effort to help a student realize his/her potential, cater to his/her unique personality, and love what they are doing. About me: I grew up in Logan as the sixth of eight children. I begged for piano lessons and was finally granted my wish for my 4th birthday. I have been teaching for 7 years (as of spring 2013). I have experience with students ages 4 - 39, including students with learning disabilities and prodigious natural ability. I am outgoing, enthusiastic, and love to laugh. Outside of piano, my hobbies include singing, dog training, video games, and personality typing everyone I meet.
