Musicianship Class Schedule; Fall 2012
GROUP LESSONS & MUSICIANSHIP CLASSES
The musicianship (group) classes provide opportunities for peer interaction, discussion and performance while supplementing the private lesson with music theory, history and ear training. Many classes incorporate a theory curriculum produced by TCW Resources for the Youth Conservatory, that has been adopted by many teachers and studios nationwide because of its comprehensive approach and student appeal. New class options this year include advanced courses for teens and group piano classes geared to young beginners and adults. Following is a listing of classes offered for the upcoming year:
Placement tests are available at the time of registration to determine the most appropriate theory course for each student.

Level A Brillante (grades 1-2) Meets Wednesdays, 4:05-5:00 pm, FA 218 The Brillante course is geared toward the young elementary student who is just learning beginning note and rhythm reading skills. Level B Energico* (grades 1-2) Meets Tuesdays, 4:05-5:00 pm, FA 218 The Energico course teaches second-year theory for the young elementary student.
