Cody Chew was driven to create Blue Collar Haulers from his experience in high school operating his own lawncare business, where mowing 50 lawns per week ignited a passion for hard work and heavy equipment. Cody, inspired by the efficiency of an innovative dump trailer he discovered, started the company while taking entrepreneurship courses at Utah State University. From a modest beginning with a trailer and three bins, Blue Collar Haulers quickly expanded to two full-size dumpster trucks with 25 bins.

The Huntsman School of Business played a pivotal role in the inception of Blue Collar Haulers, providing Cody with practical insights to navigate real-world challenges. Through collaboration and his winning pitch at the Entrepreneurship Leadership Series, Cody secured a $1,500 award, which he invested in essential supplies for Blue Collar Haulers. This achievement highlights both the company's commitment to innovation and its potential for success in the hauling industry.
