Daily decisions can either help or hinder your progress. It might be easier to go with the flow, but sticking up for yourself empowers you to reach your goals and dreams. Whether that is participating in something that makes you feel confident, taking time for yourself, or overcoming a difficult situation, etc., you can find little ways to stick up for yourself every day.

MFA Exhibition #2
Arts/Entertainment
Josh Scott | Common Objective
This Exhibition is a result of my understanding of labor and how that translates to functional pottery and my studio practice. This body of work focuses on pots that perform specific tasks as well as pots that may not be used as often as maybe a mug or bowl. This creates a perceived hierarchy in the gallery space as well as in the home. My hope is that my work makes the user consider why they choose to employ a piece of pottery. Does it perform well? Does it feel comfortable in hand? Does it enhance the user's experience? These standards and careful consideration of the forms intended use are the foundations of my studio practice as well as this exhibition.
Casey Miller | Arid Visions
Inspired by reflections of both outer and inner worlds I have experienced while exploring the deserts of southern Utah. The desert landscape is filled with diverse flora that take on alien like forms, seeming as if I am observing life on another planet. Inhabiting a Terrain that can appear desolate at first, but eventually reveals its brilliance and becomes surprisingly vibrant.
In spite of the harsh unrelenting conditions the flora in this area not only survive; they thrive. The adaptations they have made result in the creation of an obscure yet alluring wilderness. Like an agave whose stunning layered leaves lure you in, but get to close and they will harm you. these lifeforms are admirably resilient and adaptable.

Yin yoga promotes sensory awakening that melts away tension and stress, and is known to release repressed or stored emotions. A tried and true technique to experience fascia and connective tissue release, Yin yoga is also an excellent practice for beginners because it offers plenty of time to uncover the unique benefits of individual poses without worrying about tricky transitions.

In this webinar, we review how ecological footprints are measured and the problems created by excessive resource use. 2021 Robins Awards
Ceremony/Awards/Celebration
Robins Awards are the most coveted of all Utah State honors. Students are rewarded for their hard work and dedication to their individual goals, as well as the goals of USU. The awards memorialize William E. Robins, a campus hero who had a rare quality to turn his vision into Utah State’s vision. Robins was a Sigma Nu at Utah State who served as USU’s student body president in 1949. He was also the primary and initial visionary of today’s Taggart Student Center. In 1954, Bill and his wife Geraldine died in a plane crash, leaving behind the one-year old orphan Nick Robins. This prompted Bill’s fraternity to set up the Bill E. Robins Memorial fund to raise money that would provide a scholarship for the boy’s education when he was old enough to enroll in the University. Tragically, Nick Robins died at the age of eight from leukemia. Now we honor this families memory and impact at USU through the Robins Awards.

Felicia Gallegos (She/Her), SAAVI Outreach & Prevention Coordinator, has been having conversations with the USU community about engaging in healthy relationships with others over the past 5 years. Over the years, she has realized something very important is missing; a love for ourselves. Join Felicia for coffee as she talks about learning to love yourself again, or for the first time ever. Because how are we supposed to ever engage in healthy relationships with others if we can't do so with ourselves first?

William Johnson studied landscape architecture at Michigan State University and graduated in 1953. Following his military service, he completed an M.L.A. at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design. Returning to the Midwest to practice, Johnson formed Johnson, Johnson and Roy (JJR) in 1961, a partnership with his brother Carl and friend Clarence Roy. The search for fitness, harmony, and community involvement became William Johnson’s core design philosophy and a trademark of JJR’s work. Throughout his career, Johnson blended practice with his commitment to education. A professor of landscape architecture beginning in 1958, he served as dean of the School of Natural Resources at the University of Michigan from 1975 to 1983, and became Professor Emeritus in 1988. Johnson’s practice focused on campus, resort, and community planning, as well as parks and recreation projects. Mindful Movement | Stretching, strength and control for a more comfortable practice
Recreation
Meditation and stretching have a lot in common. Both encourage movement and flow throughout our bodies; both achieve the best results when we are present in the moment; and both are at their most effective when they become part of our daily routine. Mindful movement helps us limber up for activities or recover afterwards, improve balance, increase flexibility, and help relieve joint and muscle pain. Mindful movement mentally connects us to our physical movements, resulting in improved stability, mobility and strength, and helping you become calmer, more confident, more comfortable, more peaceful.

Denim Day Celebration
Fair/Festival
Denim Day asks community members, elected officials, businesses, and students to make a social statement with their fashion statement by wearing jeans on this day as a visible means of protest against the misconceptions that surround sexual violence.
Part One: Awareness Booth
10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Logan Campus, TSC Fountain Plaza
Support Denim Day by wearing your finest jeans! Then stop by our booth to make statement buttons you can pin to your jeans and pick up your embroidery kit for our nighttime event!
Part Two: Embroidery and Consent
7:00 PM, https://usu-edu.zoom.us/j/89706012615?pwd=RTNHSlpWVGliMXNEQXFuUWl6ZW83UT09
Meeting ID: 897 0601 2615
Passcode: denimday
Participants will learn how to and actually stitch 'Did I Say Yes', and similar statements, into the zipper seam of their jeans to outwardly symbolize the need for consent for any activity that is sexual in nature.
