Working Across Generations with Troy Beckert - SEA Development Event

Conference/Seminar

Troy E. Beckert is professor of Human Development and Family Studies at Utah State University. His interests in adolescent development shape a research focus on intergenerational learning, autonomy, and psychosocial issues. His current direction of research allows for contextual assessments including families, cultures, and technology.

Troy will discuss his research with adolescent and parent relationships and how it can be translated in the workplace. He’ll discuss both the differences and similarities between members of each generations and discuss ways to successfully work together.

Join the Community and Natural Resource Insitute (CANRI) in hearing Alan Matheson (Executive Director of the Point of the Mountain State Land Authority) speak about the Point of the Mountain Development in Salt Lake and Utah Counties. He will highlight opportunities and challenges for embedding principles of sustainability and diversity in economic development. Refreshments will be served. This lecture will be available both in-person and over zoom.

Pure Math Faculty Seminar is a series of talks by faculty members in pure math at USU and other institutions. The topics cover many areas of pure math including analysis, geometry, topology, algebra, and discrete math. The talks can be about the speakers’ research or surveys of general research areas.

Interested faculty and students from all disciplines are invited to participate in these talks.
