Our world is made of water and so are we. Water/Ways, an exhibition from Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street, takes a deep look at this essential component of life on our planet, which powers the environment’s engine, impacts climate and helps shape and sculpt the landscape.
Water/Ways is part of Museum on Main Street, a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and the Utah Humanities council, and was adapted from an exhibition organized by the American Museum of Natural History, New York.

CHaSS Pre-Law Series: Nathaniel Woodward (History '17), Personal Injury Attorney
Special Event
Nathaniel Woodward (History ’17), Personal Injury Attorney, will share his career experiences and nonlinear path to the legal field during our first Pre-Law event of Spring 2021 on Tuesday, February 9 at 4pm on Zoom. As an undergrad Nathaniel was a standout student serving as the editor-in-chief of the University newspaper for two years as well as being awarded “Student of the Year” four times in three different subjects.
While in law school Nathaniel was inducted into “The Order of Barristers,” a highly selective national honor society for those who demonstrate superior trial and litigation skills, and was also presented with the “Col. Rupert J. Park Jr. Pro Bono Student of the Year” award, which is given to the one law student who volunteered the most time providing free legal services. Additionally, he was also the Senior Executive Citations Editor on the Universities Journal of Social Justice and Equity.
All students, alumni, faculty, and staff are welcome to join us next week.

The year 2020 was a tough money year for many women and families. So, how can we come back in 2021 recommitted with an increased sense of purpose around money management? One way is to take a deeper dive into understanding your own money personality. Our money personalities directly or indirectly affect every money decision we make. Join Amanda for this engaging workshop to better understand what types of money personality you have. Each personality has strengths, but each also may have a downside you may need to curb. Join us to learn about Beaver Dams, Beaver Dam Analogs (BDAs), and their benefits to the local ecosystem with Marshall Wolf- watershed scientist at Utah State University! Get an inside look into Marshall Wolf’s research on understanding beaver mediated changes to stream habitat and ecosystem services on the Swaner Preserve. This event is presented in partnership with West Valley Arts.
