Clothesline Project - Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Special Event
The Clothesline Project is an annual event to raise awareness about domestic violence during the month of October, National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The Clothesline Project is a visual display of shirts with graphic messages and illustrations that have been designed by survivors of interpersonal violence or by someone who loves someone who has been killed. It was created as a way for survivors to share what has happened to them as well as highlight the realities behind statistics of domestic violence that are often overlooked. The project will be displayed across USU Campus at various dining services locations. We encourage you to visit a display this month and visit our resources page should you or someone you know need help.
Science Week: Spooky Science, Snacks & Slime

All Aggies are invited to enjoy "Spooky Science, Snacks & Slime" during USU Science Week 2022. Enjoy a root beer float or an orange Fanta indoors in the Taggart Student Center Hub, or hot chocolate on the TSC patio, along with Halloween-themed snacks. Try your hand at making slime! The gathering is hosted by the student-led Science Council as part of the celebratory week's activities.

Body Liberation Support Group
Workshop/Training
This group is an opportunity to discuss and support one another within the complicated and varied issues surrounding body liberation, with an emphasis on Body Justice and Fat Liberation, to illuminate the truth and move past societal/cultural messaging in an effort to liberate each individual participant. This group will provide: A safe space to explore societal impacts on group members’ relationship with their bodies, self-image, and health. A safe space to share individual and collective experiences of living in this society; including workplace, dating, family of origin, social media, health systems, etc. A safe space to authentically connect with others around experiences, thoughts, and feelings of living in a thin-obsessed, fat-phobic culture. Resources and information to learn more about the concepts of Body Justice, Fat Liberation, Health At Every Size, etc. This group is open to students, faculty, and staff. Registration is required for all participants.

The Office of Global Engagement and the International Student Council co-present International Education Week, November 7-11, 2022, with in-person and virtual events celebrating our global community.

Lunch & Learn: Aetna - Assertiveness

Assertiveness doesn’t come naturally to everyone. Many people avoid potential conflicts, but most of us aim to solve problems and get the best results. This training can help participants learn the differences between assertiveness, aggressiveness and passiveness, why assertiveness helps everyone, and ways to become more assertive. Attendance and participation in this event qualify as an activity for the Be Well Rewards program.

is possible to enjoy all the foods the holiday season has to offer and still stay
healthy through the process. Join USU Be Well and Registered Dietitian, Brooke Lister,
as she shares healthy holiday eating tips to leave you feeling satisfied and good in your body without overindulging. Attendance and participation in this event qualifies as an activity for the Be Well Rewards program.

In 2020, USU received the Carnegie Classification for Community Engagement, recognizing USU has great work to do in our communities; as a land grant institution we have the responsibility to the communities in which we are located to honor the mission statement of ‘serving the public through learning, discovery, and engagement and cultivating diversity of thought and culture.’ This panel will center the voices of community leaders and change-makers dedicated to advancing progress toward equity. As we learn from panelists about their community initiatives and advocacy, participants will be invited to reflect on ways they can engage in their communities to ignite change.
