Symphonic Band

Concerts are part of the band large ensemble curriculum. As capstone events, they typically occur twice per semester. Students are required to participate in these events as a large part of their grades, and these concerts are the culmination of several weeks of classroom rehearsals. Lunch & Learn - Organize Your Life

USU Be Well and Aetna, USU's Employee Assistance Program present a lunch and learn on organizing your life to save you time and energy. Are you always losing things? Do you know where you’ve put important papers? Organization doesn’t come naturally to everyone. But having your things in order can help save you time and energy. Attend this training to learn about things that get in the way of order, steps to get organized, and tips to order your work and home life. *Presentation will not be recorded. Two centuries, three USU soloists, four masterpieces. Enjoy Bach’s Fourth Brandenburg Concerto, Mozart’s Haffner Symphony, Ives’s The Unanswered Question, and Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet. Featuring faculty soloists Rebecca McFaul (violin) and Jeiran Hasan (flute), and alumna flute soloist Kate McBride.

Ecology Center Seminar Series

The USU Ecology Center will host Dr. Chris Armatas from the Aldo Leopold Wilderness Research Institute (U.S. Forest Service) Dec. 6th and 7th (4pm-5pm) in the Life Sciences Building (LSB) -Room 133. Dr. Armatas on his research: My research is broadly focused on understanding human-nature relationships with public lands and protected areas. This includes how human well-being is supported by nature, as represented by the importance of ecosystem services or, similarly, human and ecological meanings and services. Additionally, my current research focuses on perceptions of relevant drivers of change within the context of human-nature relationships. That is, how are people’s connection to some natural resource of interest potentially threatened or enhanced by a diverse range of influential factors, including management actions, climate change, land use change, and tradeoffs among differing human-nature relationships?

The Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art (NEHMA) at Utah State University is excited to unveil the newest addition to its "Museum + Music" series, where the realms of art and music converge to address the urgent theme of climate change. This installment showcases the creative interpretations of students from USU's music department, who will draw inspiration from the thought-provoking pieces within the "Facing Fire" exhibition. The event is set to captivate audiences at 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 10, within the museum located on USU's Logan campus. Refreshments provided after the concert.
