Aggies Walk the Walk

Special Event

Students, faculty, staff, and community members (led by USU Athletics) will silently walk from the USU Quad, down the Hello Walk, to the Wayne Estes Center to support MLK week. We do this walk on special occasions: luminary, graduation, and MLK week. The Walk is also a public way for a public service institution to help us reflect on our civic responsibility—both individually and collectively—toward the common good of every member of the Aggie Family, Cache Valley, and other communities throughout the state of Utah (more on our commitment to civic responsibility can be found in our strategic plan: Aggie Action, objective 3.4). Once we arrive at the Wayne Estes Center, we will play a 2-minute video highlighting the week’s significance. After the video, we will hear from USU Athletics leadership, USU President, and student leadership on the importance of MLK week at USU (15 to 25 minutes long). We will then encourage people to attend the Aggie Men’s Basketball game.

Come and sit in on a tune, or just sit back, relax, and enjoy the music. Jam sessions are completely unscripted, so you never know what exactly will happen, but it’s great fun watching musicians perform without a net!
