Join USU's Center for Intersectional Gender Studies & Research and the USU Libraries for an "Intersections on Inclusion" panel discussion moderated by Dr. Avery Edenfield. In 2020, USU received the Carnegie Classification for Community Engagement, recognizing USU has great work to do in our communities; as a land grant institution we have the responsibility to the communities in which we are located to honor the mission statement of ‘serving the public through learning, discovery, and engagement and cultivating diversity of thought and culture.’ This panel will center the voices of community leaders and change-makers dedicated to advancing progress toward equity. As we learn from panelists about their community initiatives and advocacy, participants will be invited to reflect on ways they can engage in their communities to ignite change. Student-Athlete Academic Services (SAAS) Symposium

USU Athletics Student-Athlete Academic Services (SAAS) will be providing insight into their academic services department. The presentation will discuss services and mechanisms in place to help cultivate Utah State‘s student-athlete academic and development success in the Mountain West Conference.

"Adapting to Change" SCAPE works to integrate natural cycles and systems into urban landscapes and environments across all scales, from the urban plaza to a regional ecological plan. A range of research, participatory, and science-based strategies will be shown through SCAPE’s work, featuring projects and design approaches that advance landscape design with the ultimate goal of connecting people to their immediate environment and creating dynamic and adaptive landscapes of the future.
Science Week: Science Trivia

During Science Week 2022, Aggie scholars are invited to participate in Science Trivia: 100 questions, 5 rounds with questions from all STEM subjects (5th sudden death between winners). Prizes after each round and raffle tickets will be distributed throughout the event. The gather is hosted by USU's student-led Science Council.
Science Unwrapped: Fantasies of Continuous Growth

Inquiring minds of all ages are invited to Science Unwrapped, the public outreach program of USU's College of Science. Admission is free.
Our Nov. 4 speaker is USU physicist Rob Davies, who presents "Fantasies of Continuous Growth: Saying the Quiet Part Out Loud" at 7 pm in the Emert Auditorium (ESLC 130) of the Eccles Science Learning Center on the USU Logan campus. Dr. Davies will speak for about half an hour and then invite questions from the audience. Afterwards, enjoy refreshments and hands-on STEM learning activities provided by student and community groups in the ESLC atrium. USU Observatory Public Viewing Night

Astronomy enthusiasts of all ages are invited to the USU Observatory to view the night sky through the observatory's 20-inch reflecting telescope. Admission is free. IMPORTANT NOTE: Please visit observatory.usu.edu PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL on Friday, Nov. 4 for updates, as the gathering will be cancelled in the event of cloudy or inclement weather. The website also provides directions to the observatory and parking information.
