Meal Kits Available for Student Purchase

Student Activities

The following meal kits are available for pickup in TSC 332B this week:

Gnocchi & Brussels Sprouts: $6.50
Breakfast Burritos: $10

The purpose of selling meal kits through the Student Nutrition Access Center is to allow USU students to explore new foods, try new cooking methods, and gain insight into preparing nutritious meals. Each meal kit comes with the exact ingredients and an easy-to-follow recipe that makes 3-4 servings. Meal Kits are sold at cost so the cost of each meal kit will vary per week due to the variation of ingredient cost. We accept cards, PayPal, and Venmo. Cash will not be accepted.

CIDI Workshop - Managing Multiple Sections with Blueprint Courses

Workshop/Training

If you teach several sections of the same course that meet at different times, you can save yourself time developing Canvas content using a blueprint course. Blueprint courses are associated with multiple sections. You add content to the blueprint course then changes are synced to the other sections, thus eliminating the need to update content in various places. This workshop will walk you through the details.

Lunch & Learn: Aetna - Stress Management at Work

The workplace can be a source of personal stress. By learning to manage your thoughts and actions, you can keep workplace stress from taking over. This training will help participants identify what they can control, review their demands, learn how to prioritize and organize, and gain tips to manage workplace stressors. Register today for this Lunch & Learn event provided by Aetna, USU's Employee Assistance Program, and the Be Well Program. Attendance and participation in this activity qualify as a required activity for the Be Well Rewards program. Intuitive Eating Class

Workshop/Training

Come and learn about the 10 principles of Intuitive Eating! Intuitive eaters march to their inner hunger signals and eat whatever they choose in a satisfying way, without experiencing guilt or an ethical dilemma. The Intuitive Eater is an unaffected eater. Our goal is to help you create a healthy relationship with food by discarding the diet mentality and teaching you how to listen to the messages of your body. Let's bring the pleasure back to eating. Our classes will be offered from 3pm-4pm on the following dates: January 26th (Wednesday) February 11th (Friday) March 23rd (Wednesday) April 6th (Wednesday) *These classes will be taught by senior USU Dietetics students and will be supervised by a Registered Dietitian. GUEST SPEAKER: Executive editor of the Salt Lake Tribune

Lecture/Readings

Lauren Gustus, executive editor of The Salt Lake Tribune, will speak to Del Jones’ media ethics class Wednesday at 5:15 pm about the move to nonprofit news, open meeting rules, and the Utah House of Representatives attempt to fence off the press to questions after hearings. The Tribune is the only major metro to transition to a nonprofit and wants to be a successful model for sustainable local news.  Gustus previously worked for McClatchy as West Region Editor, overseeing 10 news organizations in Idaho, Washington and California, including the company’s flagship, The Sacramento Bee.
