USUSA Toy Drive
Student Activities
USUSA is accepting new or gently used toys, books, puzzles, board games, etc. Toys can be brought to the front desk at the Utah State University Salt Lake Campus or to respective statewide locations. Native American Heritage Week

USUSA Blanding has planned a week of activities to create a positive opportunity to be united and to celebrate Native American Heritage. Starting next week, November 13th-17th, JOIN US and you’ll be entered to win some awesome Aggie swag…..and don’t forget to Roc Your Mocs all week long too!

Drops of Mindfulness
Workshop/Training
Live and online guided mindfulness practices offered freely by the IDRRP to support the well-being of faculty, staff, and students. Everyone in the USU community is welcome all or any of these 10-minute practices whenever they fit in the schedule. There is no requirement or no pre-requisite to participate.
Guerilla Grrrrls Now!
Arts/Entertainment
Guerrilla Grrrl Now! is an exhibition of political posters by the anonymous art collective Guerrilla Girls (active since 1985) placed alongside contemporary work by USU Art + Design students and interactive spaces for viewer responses. The Guerrilla Girl posters were selected from USU’s Special Collections and Archives, which is currently the only institution to house a complete Guerrilla Girls portfolio (1985-2023) IN THE WORLD! The Guerrilla Girls, who call themselves the “conscience of the art world,” use brazen visuals, confrontational headlines, and undeniable statistics to illuminate gender, racial, and ethnic discrimination in cultural institutions. The issues addressed in their work, including reproductive rights, sexual assault and abuse, LGBTQIA+ rights, and the gender pay gap, remain incredibly relevant in our lives today. Guerrilla Grrrl Now! loudly proclaims that the fight isn’t over, and by using our voices and our art to activate awareness on campus, in Cache Valley, and in Utah, we continue the feminist fight against discrimination on all fronts.
Día de Los Muertos Ofrenda
Arts/Entertainment
Día de Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a celebration of life and death that connects family members and allows many to grow closer with their loved ones. NEHMA highlights this tradition by creating a large ofrenda (offering table) in the lobby of the museum. On display are calaveras (decorated skulls), photos, food, candles, and marigold flowers to represent different kinds of ofrendas. People are welcome to dedicate a small portion of that ofrenda to someone they lost by writing their name on the ofrenda wall. Come visit the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art and our Día de Los Muertos ofrenda!
Scholarship Slam

Want to apply for scholarships but don’t have the time? Come learn about programs that will bring the scholarships to you! At this event you will be introduced to programs that find scholarships that you qualify for, can automatically input your information, and will tell you how likely you are to get selected! All USU Colleges will also be attending to teach you about the scholarships that are offered through your specific college. Want help with FAFSA? The financial aid office will also be there to get you all signed up before the deadline. Sandwiches, cookies, and drinks will be provided!

Come and shadow a USUSA officer for a day and get answers to all of your questions! You’ll be able to select which officer you would like to shadow and have 1 on 1 time to ask questions, be mentored, and gain exposure to student leadership at the highest level. Lunch will be provided!

Bread & Soup Night
Student Activities
Come on out to the annual bread and soup night happening at 5:30 pm in the JLSC MPR. Proceeds go to our student food pantry. $8.00 for 2 tickets, each redeemable for a delicious bowl of soup and a freshly baked roll!

Guitar Ensembles

The USU Guitar Ensembles Concert will showcase USU guitar students playing a variety of styles ranging from rock, funk, jazz, classical and other genres on both acoustic and electric guitars. The Guitar Ensembles Concert has been a tradition at USU for over 35 years and brings a unique and varied sound to the Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall.
USU Opera Presents: Anastasia
Arts/Entertainment
Inspired by the animated film, Anastasia adapts the legend of the Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna, who was rumored to have escaped the execution of her family at the twilight of the Russian Empire. Anya, an amnesiac orphan trying to discover her past, teams up with two con men and travels to Paris to hopefully find her home, love, and family. This Tony-nominated musical is a brilliant modern-day fairy tale about discovering “who you are and defining who you’re meant to be.” Guest directed by Stefan Espinosa, Anastasia will be performed by USU voice and orchestra students in the Morgan Theatre in the Chase Fine Arts Center.
