Part 2, April 9th, 2-3pm: "Sextras" Information on hygiene, birth control, and STIs. ~Novelty condom giveaway~ Learn important health facts and get a glow in the dark or flavored condom! Part 3, April 16th, 2-3pm: Non-heteronormative Sex-Ed Safe sex isn't just for "straight" sex. Chat about how you define sexual boundaries and virginity, and learn about safe sex and consent conversations in a safe space for LGBTQIA+ students. Ungrading for Permalearning
Workshop/Training
Facilitated by John Engler In this workshop, we'll briefly discuss ways that traditional grading methods tend to interfere with student learning. Then we’ll examine some possible ways for transitioning to a course set up and teaching methods that instead facilitate permalearning - more meaningful, longer-term learning.

Making your 1000-Level Course a Place for Student Success
Workshop/Training
As a land-grant institution, part of our mission as a university is to provide access to learning for all. This means that many of our freshmen come to campus not adequately prepared with the study skills they need to succeed in college. As faculty, we often focus exclusively on content in our courses, or have expectations for student abilities that don't line up with the realities of their college preparation. In this presentation, you will learn about strategies for building college-readiness skills within your course, without compromising quality of instruction or losing core course content. Implementing these ideas will allow for better engagement with the course material, and greater student success both in your class and across the students' academic careers.
