Trans/Nonbinary Allies on Campus Training
Workshop/Training
Trans/Nonbinary Allies on Campus aims to increase awareness and understanding of our trans/nonbinary community and further understand specific trans/nonbinary issues while training participants to stand with, and advocate for trans/nonbinary individuals. Participants will gain a basic understanding of sex, sexuality, and gender and how these concepts perpetuate microaggressions, discrimination policies, and daily biases. Prepare to dispel some common myths, laugh, and leave with the understanding that there is much work to be done in our community and you are part of the solution. Registration is required to receive the zoom link.
Tang Soo Do

Tang Soo Do could be described as a Korean version of karate. It is a striking style of martial arts in that practitioners utilize hand strikes, kicks, and blocks to defend themselves. Join us in trying something new and bring a friend along ! Free for all

Grab your bike, come ride some trails and camp with other awesome ladies (trans and non-binary inclusive)! Participants are encouraged to bring their own mountain bike (in working condition). If you need a bike, an OP rental is available at no additional cost (pending availability). All participants must have health insurance and abide by OP and University Policies.

International Equal Pay Day

International Equal Pay Day falls on September 18 of every year. This day is dedicated to raising awareness about unequal pay and pushing to close the gender pay gap. Interested in learning more about the gender pay gap and how to get involved? Stop by our office in TSC 313 on September 18th, from 3:30 pm-5:30pm for information on equal pay in Utah, financial wellness and salary negotiation tips, light refreshments, and more!

Conducting an Inclusive Search: Best Practices

The Office of Equity’s “Conducting an Inclusive Search: Best Practices” training will help hiring and search committees understand the ways in which they can limit bias during the hiring and search processes. It is an interactive training that focuses on the various aspects of the processes (from establishing group operating procedures to evaluating candidate interviews). It can be tailored to the needs of the individual hiring or search committee.

Friday Night Lights High Fitness

Join our Friday Night Lights High Fitness class for a fun and upbeat way to get active! Running from 8 to 9 p.m. on Friday, September 22nd, this high fitness event will be hosted on the Aggie Legacy Fields for a unique exercise experience! Bring your friends, come solo, or make it a date as we're hoping to beat BYU's record of the largest High Fitness event in the state. We hope to see you there!
World Contraception Day

Stop by TSC 313 on September 26th from 10 am-11:30 am for a conversational hour on reproductive justice and why it matters. We are heading down south near Moab to spend the weekend playing on the Colorado River and hiking in the Moab area. We will enjoy our nights camped in beautiful red rock country while we paddle the rapids of the Moab Daily section and hike along beautiful red rock trails. Participants must be able to swim and prepared for fun on the water. Trip cost includes: food, transportation, campground fees, river equipment, and student leadership.
ASM Davis Technical College Composite Lab Tour

Tour of Davis Technical College's Composites Lab in Kaysville, UT. It will be followed with a guest speaker and refreshments. Free for USU Students, those who are involved with SAMPE or who are interested in composites are encouraged to attend! Transportation services are provided. We will leave from the ENGR parking meters at 4:00 PM.
