Lunch & Learn - Nutrition and Mental Health

Workshop/Training

USU Be Well and Registered Dietitian, Brooke Lister, present a lunch and learn on nutrition and mental health. From a young age, we are taught that proper nutrition helps us to feel our physical best. However, we’re not always told that our nutrition habits can significantly affect our mental health. A balanced diet helps us to feel more alert and improves concentration and attention span. In addition, having a good balance of foods can help reduce stress and depression. In this presentation, we will be talking about how diet can affect our mental health. You will also learn some tips to have a diet that supports mental health as well as certain foods that really help to support our brain. *Presentation will be available in person, virtually and will be recorded. Employee Appreciation Day!

Fair/Festival

Employee Appreciation Day is coordinated by the Office of Human Resources with support and sponsorship from several internal and external partners. The goal of this day is to celebrate all faculty and staff by providing some food, fun, and formal recognition for all you do for USU and our students.

This event will include free lunch served by the USU Executive Committee, and activities such as a football field goal kick, flu shot clinic, tours of Athletic venues, live music, exhibitors, and more!
