LGBT+ Support Group
Workshop/Training
LGBTQ+ Support Group is for students that identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community and those that are questioning if they are a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Students are provided with the opportunity to get together in a safe environment where they can learn from, and support, each other. Each week, we will discuss important issues that LGBTQ+ individuals face with topics being chosen by those who wish to participate. This group will be co-facilitated by Jacob Cameron, a therapist from USU Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) and Erika-Danielle Lundström, the Gender and Sexuality Coordinator at the Inclusion Center. Symphonic Band

The Symphonic Band is a 90-member ensemble made up of students who enjoy music-making in a large band setting. The Fall Symphonic Band performs one concert at the end of the semester, while the Spring Symphonic Band performs two concerts. The membership of the Symphonic Band represents USU's finest students from all disciplines on campus who enjoy continuing their band experience while pursuing the degree program of their choice.

Order of the Engineer Induction Ring Ceremony

The Order of the Engineer was initiated in the United States to foster a spirit of pride and responsibility in the engineering profession, to bridge the gap between training and experience, and to present to the public a visible symbol identifying the engineer.
What is an Engineer's Ring Ceremony?
The Ring Ceremony is the public induction of candidates into the Order of the Engineer, during which the engineer candidates formally accept the Obligation of an Engineer and receive a stainless steel ring to be worn as a symbol on the small finger of the working hand.
What is the "Obligation of an Engineer"?
The Obligation is the formal statement of an engineer's responsibilities to the public and to the profession. The obligation is publicly accepted by an engineer during induction at a Ring Ceremony.

"Donate a meal from your meal plan" Fundraiser
Fundraiser
Twice a year USU Dining Services and the Christensen Office of Social Action & Sustainability team up to raise money for local food pantries. Every fall, we ask Aggies with meal plans to donate one meal from their cards. The meal is translated into dollars, and then Dining Services donates that dollar amount to the Cache Community Food Pantry. The CCFP donates 2,000lbs of food to our campus SNAC pantry every week, and we want to give back in this small (or big!) way. Stop by our booth at the entrances of the Marketplace (11am-1pm) or the Junction (5-7pm) to donate a meal from your plan and know that you're helping a community resource in time for the holiday season!
