The Marvelous Wonderettes

By Roger Bean Directed and Choreographed by Stephanie White It's 1958 at Springfield High School, and The Marveloous Wonderettes are performing at their senior prom! Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy, and Suzy will serenade you with classic '50s hits including "Lollipop," "Dream Lover," and "Mr. Sandman." In Act II, the Wonderettes reunite to perform at their ten-year reunion. Featuring over 30 classic '50s and 60's hits, The Marvelous Wonderettes will keep you smiling in this musical trip down memory lane! Movie Equivalent Rating: PG

Play Reading Series Directed by Yesenia Garcia Herrington Three new plays on three separate evenings. Join us July 3, 12, and 18, for our play reading series featuring new works by up and coming playwrights. Stick around after the readings to share your thoughts, offer feedback, and "interact" with the director and actors. Be a part of this unique opportunity to be involved with a play in its early stages. Who knows? You may see one of these plays fully produced in a future Lyric Rep season! Learn how to leverage New Quizzes in Canvas to create a more dynamic assessment experience. This workshop will include New Quizzes creation, question types, settings, moderating, and editing. Changes to the workshop curriculum can be made based on instructor experience.

A One-Man Hip Hop Journey Through Time
Written and Performed by Herb Newsome
Back by popular demand, Herb Newsome returns to tell the story of the early days of hip hop through DJing, Emceeing, B-Boying, and Graffiti Art. Set in the Bronx, NY, at a time when urban decay and gang culture inspired a people to create their own form of expression, Newsome plays 10 characters using music, dance, video, graffiti, and rhyming to take you on a journey to the past to discover how each hip hop element came into existence.
