Alumni Exhibition and Tiny Houses

The opening exhibition of the academic year features paintings and collages created by Art+Design alumni Holly Cobb and Michelle Montrose along with Tiny Houses created by students in the Interior Architecture and Design Program. The Tiny Houses assignment is a component of the Architectural Graphics and CADD courses, and the project outline is simple: design a small residence for two people, approximately 500 sqft per level. The residence must have more than one level, be built in Utah, and meet all residential building codes. The students create presentation drawings, a three-dimensional model, set of construction documents, and interior and exterior renderings of their custom design.

Watershed Sciences Camp Cook-off

Open to all undergrads, grads, faculty, staff, and onlookers/eaters!The Watershed Sciences Department is kicking off the semester with a Camp Stove Cook-off on Tuesday, September 7th from 5-7pm on the Natural Resources Patio. There will be lots of fun, food and friends! All WATS students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to come and compete or spectate! Please let us know if you'll be able to make it and whether you'd like to compete using the linked Google Form by August 29th. Categories and Prizes When you sign up to compete, you'll be required to pick one of three categories: Breakfast, Dinner, or Dessert. We'll be dishing out sweet prizes for best camp cooking creation in each category: - Highest percentage of locally sourced ingredients (garden, farmer's market, or gleaned from around town) - Best presentation (get creative!) - Faculty's choice - Most environmentally friendly - Spectating If you don't want to cook, please still come to eat tasty meals and vote on the prizes! All you need to do is respond to the Google Form and bring your own plate/bowl/utensils.

USU Observatory Public Viewing Night

Astronomy enthusiasts of all ages are invited to view the night sky through the 20-inch reflecting telescope at the USU Observatory on the roof of the Science Engineering Research (SER) Building. Legacy of Val Day of Service: Produce Picking with Cache Community Gleaning

Join us as we remember the life and work of Val Christensen. We'll be picking excess produce from local gardens/farms and then donating it to community members through the Cache Community Food Pantry and the SNAC.
