Join a panel of experts from the Office of Equity, the Sexual Assault & Anti-Violence Information Office, and USU Police for a discussion on how USU prevents and responds to sexual misconduct! Entrepreneur Leadership Series: Ashley Smith
Panel Discussion/Presentation
This week’s speaker is Ashley Smith, who is the founder of Smash Dance Academy and co-owner of the Utah Jazz. Ashley began dancing at the age of 7 and her passion for dance over the years led her to earn many different teaching credentials. In 2007, she opened a dance studio in her basement and in 2011 she moved to a bigger location allowing her team to teach multiple dance genres to over 600 students.
In October 2020 Ashley and her husband Ryan, who is the co-founder and CEO of Qualtrics, became owners of the Utah Jazz. Together they enjoy working on their businesses and raising their family.

During the summit, you’ll hear from our powerful keynote speaker Lyndsy Blonquist, Assistant VP at Intermountain Healthcare. She will share her inspiring story about finding her true north and how that journey changes as we grow. Join Lyndsy in an engaging conversation with panelists, Holly Robb Galbraith – Director, Government Relations & Licensing at Maverik, Inc., and Paul Fjeldsted, Sr. Lecturer Economics and Finance Huntsman School of Business. Moderated by Lianne Wappett, Lecturer Data Analytics and Information Systems, Huntsman Scholar Program Academic Director at the Huntsman School of Business. Participants will engage in small group discussions, network with fellow students, and meet faculty mentors. The summit will leave you feeling energized to find your true north and empowered to dare mighty things!

Science Unwrapped - Seeing Science
Panel Discussion/Presentation | Science Unwrapped
Inquiring minds of all ages are invited to Science Unwrapped, the public outreach program of USU's College of Science. Featured speaker is USU data scientist Kevin Moon, who presents "Seeing Science: Using Machine Learning to Visualize Data" at 7 pm in the Emert Auditorium (ESLC 130) of the Eccles Science Learning Center on USU's Logan campus. Admission is free. Dr. Moon's talk will be recorded and posted on Science Unwrapped's website following the talk: www.usu.edu/science/unwrapped
