Rates
Day rate - Gear must be returned the next day one hour before close.
Weekend rate - Rentals Friday through Monday. Gear must be returned on Monday one hour before close. Items picked up on Saturday and brought back on Monday fall under the Day Rate.
Rafts are due back by 2:00pm on the return day.
Student Discount Policy*
The student must be enrolled and taking classes during the current semester in order to be eligible. The student must be the one to make the reservation, sign the rental agreement and be present at pick up. If a student is renting multiple single-person items, the discount only applies to TWO of those items. With multi-person items (such as rafts, canoes, kayaks and tents), the discount only applies to ONE item. Any reservations made by a student and that student is not present to sign the agreement or present at pick up will revert back to the non-student rate and the difference charged.
*This policy also applies to ARC membership and Summer Citizen discounts.

New & Used Equipment for Sale
The OP rental shop has a small inventory of new equipment available for retail purchase. These retail items include: river maps, disposable waste systems, bike lights/locks, avalanche safety equipment, NRS straps, river safety/rescue equipment, backpack stoves, sunglasses/goggles and more. Please call or stop by the shop for more information on current retail items and pricing.
Used rental equipment is sold when that equipment is being replaced with new inventory. This occurs at sale events during spring or fall semester depending on the type of equipment that is being sold. These sales can take place as often as once a year or every few years as needed with inventory turnover. On occasion, there will be leftover items from a prior sale event available to purchase on an ongoing basis until sold out. Click here for a list of current items for sale.
