About This Certificate

The Environmental Planning certificate at Utah State University aims to provide students with a strong professional education in the core principles of environmental planning.

This certificate complements various design build and environmental science majors by offering a planning component and prepares students to work with planning professionals in multi-disciplinary settings.

What You Will Learn

Students will learn about environmental planning, sustainable development, GIS for environmental planning, and planning methods. Elective courses allow students to explore topics such as natural resource economics, environmental communication, environmental policy, city and regional planning, environmental ethics, and climate change.
