About This Degree
This is a stand alone associate degree, offered only on the USU Eastern campus, designed with the student experience in mind.
This degree will provide the student with performance training and technical experience to enter the entertainment industry or continue their education and training at a four year institution such as USU.
What You Will Learn
This degree focuses on a general training in all areas of theatre with courses in performance techniques such as auditions, acting styles, script analysis, and stage makeup. Along with technical production training in stage lighting, sound reinforcement, stagecraft, stage management and scene painting. Students who complete the course work for this associate of arts degree will also come away with direct hands on training and experience in all aspects of theatre production and performance.
