Bio

Anna Pechenkina is an associate professor at the Political Science Department at Utah State University. Pechenkina's research focuses on bargaining obstacles to peace processes. She uses data and experiments to understand how peace emerges out of war and why it succeeds or fails. Her research has appeared in Journal of Conflict Resolution, Journal of Peace Research, Political Research Quarterly, International Interactions, PLOS ONE, and other outlets. Pechenkina received a Ph.D. in Political Science from the Pennsylvania State University in 2013 and held a postdoctoral fellowship at Carnegie Mellon University in 2013-2016.
