Bio

Dr. Anthony Lowry is a geophysicist whose research focuses on measuring and understanding how and why planets deform, how mountains form, and the rock properties that modulate processes of flow, fault slip, earthquakes and volcanism. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees in geophysics from the University of Wyoming and his Ph.D. from the University of Utah. He is currently an associate professor in the geosciences department at Utah State University. His research also touches on observations of climate change and mass transfer in the atmosphere, hydrosphere and cryosphere.
