Bio

Trenton (Trent) Landon earned bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and International Studies from Utah State University. His master's degree is in Rehabilitation Counseling, also from USU. He worked for seven years for a state vocational rehabilitation agency, and worked with transition age youth in high schools, the mental health and drug court programs, as well as a psychiatric hospital. Dr. Landon then attended Michigan State University for his doctoral studies and returned as a faculty member to USU in the Fall of 2016. His research focuses on ethical service delivery for people with disabilities, clinical supervision of new counselors and their professional development. He has taught a variety of courses while here at USU, some of those being REH 6240 Ethical Decision Making in Counseling, REH/SPED 1010 Disability in Society, and doctoral level coursework on clinical supervision. Dr. Landon chaired the Code of Ethics Revision Committee for the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification, leading to the 2023 version of the Code of Professional Ethics for Rehabilitation Counselors.
