Bio

Dr. Wei Zhang joined Utah State University as an assistant professor of climate science in the Department of Plants, Soils, and Climate in 2021. He previously conducted research at the University of Iowa. Dr. Zhang earned his Ph.D. on Tropical Cyclone Dynamics and Modeling from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2011. He currently focuses on research surrounding droughts, climate dynamics, climate modeling, climate change, hurricanes, precipitation, and hydrometeorology.
