Jacob Sagers

Biography

Jacob is a junior in the Honors Program at Utah State University with majors in political science and French, alongside minors in data analytics and international studies. Jacob has enjoyed his time at USU and with Honors, taking part in undergraduate research in Tunisia and studying abroad in France last summer. He is cementing his passion for research, global engagement, languages, and international relations through his Honors Capstone Project, which focuses on models of democratic transition for countries within the Arab Maghreb region of northwestern Africa.

Jacob plans to pursue a master's degree in applied political science in the U.S. or France, perhaps followed by a Ph.D. in political science. He hopes to eventually work internationally for the U.S. State Department, a think tank, or an international non-profit organization, to improve the quality of life for people worldwide.
