The USUSA Hearing Board
The USUSA Hearing Board constitutes the judicial branch of the USUSA student government and is responsible for interpreting and enforcing the constitution and bylaws. Pursuant to Article VI of the USUSA Constitution, the board hears and adjudicates all Election Concerns during USUSA elections.
When an Election Concern is filed, five to seven board members convene to hear deliberations. The USUSA Hearing Board then renders a decision and assesses a penalty if necessary. Hearings are open and public meetings, and records of meetings and opinions of the board are made public on this webpage.
Election Concern Form
To file an Election Concern with the USUSA Hearing Board, submit the following form. Election Concerns must be filed within 24 hours after the incident but no later than the closing of the polls. Election Concerns may be filed for violations discovered after elections results have been announced within one week of the applicable elections announcement. Elections Concerns may be filed prior to elections week, but the board will only meet as needed during this time.
Election Concern Appeal Form
If you feel there was a violation of due process during a hearing, you may submit an election concern appeal form.
